I've loved the intro to this ever since you put it up, and I always wondered where you'd take it next.

The gentle part is really lovely. Can I make a Pink Floyd comparison? Just a quick one, okay? It combines wonderfully with the children's laughs and shouts to really paint a beautiful picture of those perfect childhood days.

I was surprised, the first time I listened to this, by the sudden louder part which kicks in during the final minute or so. At first I found it a little jarring, but 10 seconds or so into it begins to make sense, like the progression from the simple innocence of childhood to the complexities of adolescents which, while happening gradually, is usually accompanied by certain sudden and unexpected events in a young person's life.

It ends a little suddenly for me. It's such a beautiful piece with so many possibilities that I feel you could expand this to double or more its current length and have a real epic as a result. However, if you still choose to leave it as it is, it is still a mighty fine piece of music Nodding

jeez.... killer tone on the guitar. excellent feel and touch. I agree with Simon, this could have been much longer. I would have gone back to the gentle part after the louder part. Nice work none-the-less. Very nice......

I love the zooooooming opening. Beautiful playing. The depth of feeling.... I really like the dissonance of the louder part, the whole tritone thing. I agree with Simon about the adolescence.

Beautiful, wonderful etc etc.

I remember thinking what a great idea you had here all those months ago and whether your expand on it..
The intro and tone is just gorgeous and the childrens voices in the backround have a real effect here. I've actually got the old shivers down the back of the neck, and that doesn't happen often... Nodding
I love the start of the chaos and noise.. very true to life..
The backing's really superb... oh no.. it's finished..:( (Frown) .. I was so enjoying that.
I think that was superb.
Well I reckon that's come out brilliant. Really well thought out and a lot of work gone into that. :)) (Very Happy)

Very cool. That first section captures the bliss of childhood so beautifully and that second section is just painfully exciting. I too wish it was a little longer, but seeing as your kids are now adolescents, maybe the next section will reveal a little more as they begin to mature.
I love the arrangment and your guitar playing..lotsa emotion..and the production is sweet.Thumbs Up

this is pretty cool. i like how you get the feeling of a child progressing through their years. at least that's how i interpretted it. sweet and innocent in the beginning and then a switch to rebelious and loud. cool idea for sure. i'm gonna be having a baby in march (well not me physically, but my gf) so i'm sure this will mean a lot more to me in the upcoming years. i like it, its got a lot thought behind it. kudos!

That is a pearly, almost opalescent, guitar tone in the intro.

For me, the transition could be accented more. It's ok now, but it has the feel of someone switched the channel with an oops. Almost I can hear a 'tisssh' of breaking glass, then the guitars crashing in, and when they come in, they roar, then roar louder, then blow up to a crescendo and fade to an ambient crazy echo.

Just my take on it, though, and disclaimer: I am weird.

intro is sweet..!

SWEET!

Man I'm really diggin' on the mood your music brings.

Cool ambient sounds thrown in there with the kids playing. I heard a fire engine in the far distant and for a moment I thought it was part of the track hehe

Nicely guitar work here. WOAH, what a change up totally unexpected by very welcomed..!

Nice work bro.

This great!! There's just so much in here: starts off with some very Jon Micheal Jarre audio mixing while the guitar work is very much Steve Via vs Gary Moore - THEN!!! The mood change!!! Very powerful! Sounds very Tangerine Dream style guitar work & backing - a really incredible climax!!! Cool

the first part was Great, but i was wondering why you had put a prog rock label on this, but then came the second part, and all i can say is Yay :)) (Very Happy) Good job on this one, rather moody :) (Smile)

I can hear some Pink Floyd & a touch of ELP, they kind of work well together in a strange way, but then i'm strange & I like this very much.
